We use the Elo system to predict game results of the NBA and WNBA. This method was first used by Nate Silver when he was working for ABC at Fivethirtyeight. There is a lot to say about this method. But the core is fairly simple and straightforward: the team with higher Elo rating paintings will win the game. But there is a caveat: home teams automatically get a home-court advantage of 100 points. When the Excel was done, the whole history of NBA and WNBA had been tested: for NBA til the 2024 season ends and for WNBA til the 2024 regular season ends.
